The districts to the north of the Brussels Pentagon are in the throes of a great transformation. The changes are most visible in the office district at the North Station, but there is also a lot going on in the surrounding districts.

Future Places: the term says it all. They are places that offer us a glimpse of the future. And that future will be radically different. The shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy, the transition to a sustainable food and mobility system, to a circular economy, a caring living environment and an inclusive labour market will be tangible in the very heart of our districts, our neighbourhoods, our streets and our homes.

The twelve Future Places are inspiring and innovative experiments. They provide the building blocks for a better way for us to live, work and co-exist in the city.
